Pressure Washing
Pressure washing is used to clean the exterior of your home prior to any actual preparation or painting. This process is necessary to remove any build-up of mildew, mineral deposits and dirt that has collected since your last painting. If mildew is present, it will be pre-treated with a bleach and water solution. (This will destroy mildew and remove stains caused by mildew). The removal of these contaminants is necessary to ensure proper paint adhesion. Pressure washing also completes some of the preliminary removal of loose and peeling paint. However, pressure washing is not a substitute for scraping and sanding, which will be done by our painting crew.

Surface Preperation
Before applying the top coat to your exterior, all surfaces need to properly prepped. This includes scraping to remove loose and peeling paint, sanding bare wood areas to allow for adhesion, caulking of cracks and construction seams and priming of bare wood. These steps are necessary for the top coat to adhere properly and uphold it's durability against the elements.

Protection
When painting an exterior, protection against overspray has to be taken. We cover all walkways, flower beds, bushes, and all other areas that are not being painted such as doors, windows, light fixtures, and decks.

Application
The application process is key to a successful paint job. Paint is applied by utilizing a spraying application and then back-rolled or applied by brush. Second coats of paint can be applied to increase the thickness of the paint if it's needed. A thick coat ensures your exterior will be long-lasting and durable.

As with our interiors, we take the same measures to make sure that your yard is as tidy as it was when we arrived. We take special care when working near plants and flower beds and cover all walkways with drop cloths to protect from paint drips. All material and waste will be removed and anything on your home or in your yard that was moved will be restored to it's original location.
